The challenge
Living with MS means managing fatigue, exercise and changing symptoms every day, often with paper notes and several apps. Care teams see only a snapshot at each appointment.
The goal was one app that makes daily routines and tracking effortless for patients, and gives clinicians reliable data they can act on.
What we did
A 12-person team took MS Buddy from research to a working MVP, designing in Figma and building with Flutter on the front end and Laravel and Node.js behind it. It brought together our MVP development and healthcare app development work.
- Guided exercise sessions. Pelvic floor and strength routines with a session timer, step-by-step exercises and repetitions, saved when the training ends.
- Energy budgeting. Daily plans that help people pace their energy around fatigue, with goals and a clear weekly view.
- Custom symptom trackers. Percentage, hours and time per day, yes/no and VAS pain scales, so each person tracks what matters to them.
- Progress at a glance. Weekly charts and goal check-ins that help patients and clinicians spot patterns early.

The outcome
The MVP is in patients' hands and development continues with the client. Early results show the data is accurate enough for clinical conversations, and both patients and doctors were satisfied with the MVP.
